Ethereum

Ethertrum (Ethereum+Spectrum) is a live game-audio composition which examines how the relationship between humans and technology influenced the evolution of mankind. It musically embraces how we, as a species, enhanced our physical and mental abilities to became engineers of our own evolution, existence and (in)evitable extinction. A DNA Helix becomes the main character of an immersive game-audio journey across ancient and next generation technologies. Using spectral sound and a rhombus-like environment (◊) - as the metaphor for the creation of life - each scene navigates a milestone in human metamorphosis. From a meteorite strike 4 billion years ago, followed by the sonification of cellular mitosis and pre-amphibian life, to early humans with hand-axe stones, leading to pyramids - not Egyptians but Daft Punk’s techno-pyramid-, to end with the merge between human and technology, while becoming data of a rhombus-shaped cryptocurrency called Ethereum. 3D Models by Manusamu&Bzika and Climent.
